How to Apply Discounts to a Quote
Configuration-level discounts, either by dollar amount or percentage, can be applied to specific Configurator quotes for tailored pricing without altering original product prices. Additionally, users can adjust individual item prices directly within the quote detail page.
Overview
You can apply a configuration-level discount to any submitted quote. This allows you to offer custom pricing for volume orders, loyalty customers, or special promotions without modifying your Shopify product prices.
Steps- Open the quote from the Quotes list.
- Scroll to the Configuration Discount section.
- Enter a discount value.
- Select the discount type: $ (dollar amount) or % (percentage).
- Click Save or Finalize to apply the discount.
Line Item Discounts
In addition to the overall configuration discount, you can adjust individual item prices directly in the selections list on the Quote Detail page.
Note: Discounts applied here affect only this specific quote. They do not change any Shopify product prices.
