# Editing and Deleting Rules

## The Conflict Resolution tab allows you to edit and delete rules as well as add them.  Deleting and editing rules  effects all configurations they are assigned to. 

### Edit a Rule

1. Click the **pencil icon** on the rule row.

2. The same modal from creation opens, pre-filled with the current values.

3. Make your changes and click **Save changes**.

4. You can add new target items, remove existing ones, change the rule type, or update the quantity and notes.

### Delete a Rule

1. Click the **trash icon** on the rule row.

2. A confirmation message appears asking you to confirm.

3. Click **Delete** to permanently remove the rule, or **Cancel** to keep it.

**Important**: Deleting a rule removes it from all configurator products it was assigned to. This action cannot be undone.
