Assigning Rules
Configurator rules can be assigned individually via the "Assign" button, which lists eligible products containing the necessary source and target items, or in bulk by selecting multiple rules and using the "Assign Rules" function. The system automatically updates product counts and skips existing assignments, with empty lists indicating no eligible products remain.
Assigning Rules to Configurator Products (per-rule)
After creating a rule, you need to assign it to the configurator products where it should apply.
Each rule row has an Assign button.
1. Click Assign on any rule row.
2. A modal opens showing the rule summary (type, source item, and targets) and a list of eligible configurator products.
3. A product is eligible only if:
- It contains both the source item and at least one target item in its configuration.
- The rule is not already assigned to that product.
4. Use the search box to filter products by name.
5. Check the boxes next to the configurator products you want to assign the rule to.
6. Click Assign to X products.
The Products count on the rule row updates to reflect the new assignments.
Tip: If no products appear in the list, it means either every eligible product already has the rule assigned, or no products contain both items referenced in the rule.
Bulk-assigning Rules to Configurator Products
You can also assign multiple rules to multiple configurator products at once.
1. Use the checkboxes on the left side of the rules table to select one or more rules.
2. Click the Assign Rules button that appears in the filter bar (it shows a count of how many rules are selected).
3. A panel opens below the filters showing all your configurator products.
4. Search for products, select individual ones, or use Select all to choose every product.
5. Click Assign all selected rules to all selected products.
The app applies every selected rule to every selected product. It automatically skips any rule-product combinations that have already been assigned.
